These tests are conducted using the swab test technique, which requires no poking, cutting, or cups. The sample is merely collected using a stick with a sponge at the tip and swabbing the inside of the cheek. Also, these tests remove the trouble of maintaining the standard temperature required in the urine tests. The sample swab is then taken to the lab to look for THC, unlike the urine test, which looks for the THC-COOH metabolite. THC can be detected through the saliva test since it does not get metabolized in the mouth. THC can be detected in your bloodstream the second it gets inhaled, and it stays in your plasma for several hours, depending on the amount and frequency of weed consumed. A review was published in 2004, which revealed that THC concentration in plasma peaks just for about three to eight minutes after inhalation and then drops down rapidly with a half-life of about half an hour only. The THC stays detectable for almost five hours; on the contrary, THC-COOH can stay detectable for up to twenty-five days. That means while the THC itself will not stay for long, the THC metabolite THC-COOH can still be found in your system after several weeks of ingestion. A few additional shampoos include comparable components and are designed to achieve the same thing: penetrate the hair quickly and remove toxins and contaminants. One of these is Zydot Ultra Clean, which is well-known in the marijuana world due to its use in the Jerry G hair detox procedure. It's a three-part system, with shampoo, purifier, and conditioner packets included in each box. To get the most out of Zydot, make sure you've properly cleansed your hair before applying it. This brand is designed to be used on the day of the hair follicle drug tests. Keep in mind that only half of the zydot ultra clean shampoo packet should be used initially, with the remaining half saved for after the purifier and before the conditioner. Since the natural accumulation of oil would expose the hair and scalp to recontamination throughout the day, Ultra Clean will remain effective for a period of 24 hours after usage.
